Performance
- A Classical or Baroque piece from the standard repertoire (single movement from a multi-movement work is acceptable).
- Three octaves scales and arpeggios from one of the following keys: D Major, G Major, C Major, B Major, A Minor, G Minor, D Minor, B Minor.
Music Education
- A Classical or Baroque piece from the standard repertoire (single movement from a multi-movement work is acceptable). Scales as assigned.
Spring Jury
Performance
- A complete work by a Classical or Baroque composer, in case of concerto, cadenza must be included.
- A pair of Major and Minor three octave scales and arpeggios selected from the follow keys: F Major, B-flat Major, E-flat Major, A-flat Major, F Minor, G Minor, C Minor.
Music Education
- Two contrasting works selected by the instructor. (Etudes are acceptable). Scales as assigned.

- An etude by Popper or comparable.

- A movement of J.S. Bach’s Suites for Unaccompanied Cello.
- Scales as assigned.
Spring Jury
Performance Majors
- A complete Classical or Romantic concerto.
- A short virtuosic work with or without accompaniment.
- A pair of Major and Minor three octaves scales and arpeggios and double stops (3rds, 6ths, simple octaves) selected from the following keys: F Major, F Minor, B-flat Major, B-flat Minor, E-flat Major, E-flat Minor, A-flat Major, A-flat Minor, D-flat Major, D-flat Minor.

- A virtuoso work that demonstrates the over-all fluency and command of the instrument.

- A complete Romantic Concerto.
- Two contrasting movements of an unaccompanied work by J.S. Bach.
- Piatti Caprice.
Spring Semester
- A complete Romantic Concerto other than the one performed in previous Jury.
- A solo work written after 1900.
- A virtuoso work.
Second Year
Fall Semester Jury
- A complete Classical concerto.
- A complete sonata for violin and piano written after 1800. 3) A complete unaccompanied suite for cello by J.S. Bach.
Spring Semester
A Full-length Solo Recital that must include the following works from at least three different musical periods:
- A complete sonata for cello and piano.
- A virtuoso work by one of these composers.
- A romantic work.
- A work from the standard repertoire written after 1900.
